FEATURED PROJECT: NEWPORT BEACH CITY HALL/CIVIC CENTER
December 5, 2016

Newport Beach City Hall creates a center for civic life in this Southern California beach side community. Located on a 17-acre site, the Civic Center takes on a nautical theme to reflect the distinct atmosphere of Newport Beach. The iconic Council Chambers “sail” and wave-like roofs that float above glass curtain walls of the administrative building and community room invite visitors to the center. The spirit of the city is felt through the maritime elements which evoke a progressive and new image of a city hall as a place for the community.
Featured throughout the exterior are BEGA bollards that illuminate the pathways. Designed specifically for the effective lighting of pathways, squares and entrances, the BEGA bollards are the perfect choice for guiding visitors towards City Hall. The bollards feature a symmetrical, fully shielded and glare-free light distribution, made of a die-cast aluminum top housing and base, with clear tempered safety glass and anodized aluminum reflectors.
Several other BEGA fixtures can be found throughout the site including
- Flush In-grade Luminaires
- Surface Mounted Cylindrical Downlight
- Recessed Luminaires with Slotted Die-cast Aluminum Faceplate
- Floodlight Luminaires
The BEGA fixtures help transform the Newport Beach City Hall into a distinguished and world class civic center.
